2010 COSUGI Pre-conferences

Both COSUGI and SirsiDynix will be offering pre-conferences for the 2010 Conference. Registration for each is separate. Please see the descriptions below for information on both offerings.

COSUGI Pre-conferences

COSUGI Pre-conferences will take place on March 2nd and are scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m (EST). Registration is currently open. Please access the conference registration link available on the Conference Registration page.

Presenters: Kay Dunker (Systems Librarian, Valley Library Consortium, Saginaw MI) and Laura England (Assistant Director and Horizon Systems Administrator, Keene Memorial Library, Fremont NE)

Description: So you've got Web Reporter / Narrowcast and don't know how to let them make the most of your statistical reporting? We've been there! Kay and Laura will show you some tricks from the trenches, talk your through the basic, and maybe try some report construction on the fly if time permits.

We'll look at:

• Using the Web Reporter Desktop Interface to create and edit reports
• Editing and creating custom filters for your library consortium
• Using Narrowcast to automate and deliver reports
• Creating custom reports using Freeform SQL
• Utilizing the web interface for WR so you don't have to be the only one to run an on-demand report
• And More!

Title: CUSTOMIZING E-LIBRARY

Description: An in-depth session covering all aspects of eLibrary customization.  Learn how to change the look and feel of eLibrary using CSS and utilizing page and javascript files to modify the types of content displayed in eLibrary.  Bring your questions about customization for the question and answer period where you will have a chance to learn exactly how to customize eLibrary to fit your library's needs.
